NEW POLICY DIRECTOR

The Scottish Sports Association is delighted to announce that Kim Atkinson, currently the Chief Operating Officer with Scottish Squash will be appointed as the new Policy Director with effect from late March 2010.

Kim brings with her a wealth of experience within sport and has a strong background of working with Governing Bodies, both at a strategic and operational level.  Her enthusiasm and personable nature will be an asset to the SSA and its members.  She is looking forward to the development and implementation of the next Strategic Plan and the opportunities that exist for all sports over the next 5 years.

Brian McKelvie, SSA Chair is delighted that Kim is joining the team.  "Kim's dynamic and enthusiastic approach, allied to her operational experience of leading a governing body will further enhance our reputation and work as we move towards the most exciting time for Scottish Sport in a generation".

Current Policy Director Chris Robison leaves the SSA to join sportscotland on 8 February 2010.
